Small Scale Technology Certificates (STCs)
Small scale renewable energy systems (up to 100kW) are entitled to a number of small scale technology certificates known as “STCs” under the Australian Government incentive called the ‘Renewable Energy Target’ (RET). The RET is designed to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases in the electricity sector and encourage the additional generation of electricity from sustainable and renewable sources.
The number of certificates that can be created per system is based on its geographical location, installation date, and the amount of electricity in megawatt hours (MWh). Once created and validated, these certificates act as a form of currency and can be sold to recoup a portion of the cost of purchasing and installing the system, or transferred to other individuals and businesses at a negotiated price.
Small scale technology certificate/s are included as a point of sale discount in our quotations. The STC operates like a share market and each STC can fluctuate in price at any given time. On acceptance of the quote we can have the STC amount fixed, as stated on the quotation. If you decline the STC offered in the quote, you have the option to source the STC financial incentive at your own expense. For further information on STCs go to the Clean Energy Regulation website: http://www.cleanenergyregulator.gov.au/RET
Solar Homes Program

Solar Panel Rebate
Solar Victoria are providing a rebate of up to $1,400 for solar panel (PV) system installation, for homeowners and rental properties. To further reduce installation costs, householders can apply for an interest-free loan, for an amount equivalent to their rebate amount. The loan is required to be repaid over four years.
